The Moment that Inspired Me

I had a life-changing experience in winter 2008, in Montreal, Canada. Everything was frozen. A radical contrast to the Pacific Coast in Costa Rica where I grew up. She told me: “This morning I did one euthanasia that broke my heart.” I put away all my sales materials. “I understand completely,” I told her. “I’ll make a new appointment to discuss this product.” Dr. M.G. deeply appreciated my empathy and my attempts to make her feel better. Because of that moment of empathy, I became the practice’s favorite rep. That is the magic of the bond we create with our clients. That experience also gave me a moment of inspiration.
